New State, New Life: Transplantednorth needs a new name
Thank, you, WordPress, for your latest daily prompt: All About Me.
It was the impetus that got me thinking: Once I move to Detroit, the name of my blog will be outdated.
When I started this blog about three years ago, I named it Transplantednorth because that’s how I felt. Even after nine years of moving from the New York Metro Area to Rochester, I still felt somewhat on the outside, still very much a transplant.
Now, (as we native New Yorkers say) whadaya know? Just as I’m feeling grounded and rooted, it’s time to move, to transplant, yet again! (Yay.)
So, this is where you come in. And you get to vote.
When I move, what shall I name my blog:
I’m waiting with bated breath for your vote OR other suggestions!

I like the trailing wife having been one for 20 years + and 4 states and 1 country. I been to the last state for about 12 years and still feel an outsider too. I need to find an area state with a lot of outsider so I can be an insider. Good luck with your new blog name and new beginning.

thank you for reading and your reply. I find that transplants seem to stick together and am hoping to find that in my new town.

You KNOW I feel very strongly about this. People want to find YOU. It is VERY HARD to remember all the cutesy monikers out there. Just be you, and I swear your readership will double. And when you set up shop again — self-host and monetize. You might as well make some money of this thing!

So, the cardinals voted in a new pope. Why don’t you vote for a new name for my blog, results will be smoke free!

I like “Stacy Gittleman’s blog”. I tried to look you up in my emails today. Under ‘search’ I just wrote ‘st . . .’ and your name appeared and I could trace you back to June 2012! Do you know already when you’re going to move to Detroit?
